Established 3 years ago by the Larry Joe
Harless Community Center (LJHCC), the After
School Program is a place for children, grades 2nd
through 6th, to come after school to get additional
help with homework. Along with homework help,
they also do other things such as physical activity,
taking field trips, craft and a healthy snack.
The staff of the After School Program consists
of 4 LJHCC Staff and 5 high school students. To
be hired as a high school student, the guidance
counselor at Gilbert High School recommends these
students to the center then they come in for an
interview with the LJHCC Staff.
If you have any questions or would like your
child to be a part of this feel free to contact
Sherry Gross at 664-2500.
Here is a video of the kids playing a game of "Pass the Apple" they also had to be shaking their hips while playing :)
